Your guide to Pyramid Solitaire

Read the aim of Pyramid Solitaire, then make your first move. Remove all 28 pyramid cards. Look at what changes after your first action. Check the rule that explains your first action. Keep the game area visible while you use its controls.

Pyramid, stock and waste; one stock recycle. Free solo play, no wagering.

Give this approach a try

Locate the buttons and input area before beginning a long round. Use the on-screen labels to avoid an accidental restart. Refer to the controls when needed.

Your objective

Remove all 28 pyramid cards. The feedback beside the game helps you follow the round. Notice how the game responds to your input.

From the start of a round

  1. Only uncovered cards are selectable. Pairs total 13; a king removes alone.
  2. Click an exposed card or eligible pair to remove it.
  3. Draw when useful.
  4. Undo reverses a choice. New deal shuffles again.

Choosing and moving on screen

Click or tap cards and piles. Wide tableaus scroll inside the game; use Undo, Hint and New deal where shown. On a smaller screen, keep the active part of the board within view. Avoid pressing the same control repeatedly while a move is being processed.

A useful example

An exposed queen pairs with an ace; a jack pairs with a 2. Compare this with the rule that governs the move. Take a moment to compare.

Pay attention to this rule

Random deals are not guaranteed solvable. A hint is a legal move, not a winning strategy. Check the rule before repeating the action. Locate the buttons and input area before beginning a long round. Use the on-screen labels to avoid an accidental restart.
