The Ludo playbook

Make Ludo your next activity in the game library. Bring all four tokens home before the other players. Choose a clear next step rather than rushing through the instructions. Treat the first round as a chance to learn the controls. Look at what changes after your first action.

Play with two or four people on the same device. Follow the house rules shown on the board; internet matchmaking is not available.

An idea for your next attempt

Read one step at a time and try it on the playing area. Match the instruction to the control you use. Make the next step deliberately.

The challenge in front of you

Bring all four tokens home before the other players. Read that aim before choosing your first action. The example below illustrates a decision.

The playing sequence

  1. Roll six to leave the yard.
  2. Move an eligible token by the die value; home requires an exact roll.
  3. Capture opponents on non-safe squares.
  4. Six, capture and finishing a token grant another roll; a third consecutive six forfeits that roll.

The controls to know

Click or tap a piece and destination; use the turn indicator and legal-move feedback. Use the control method described here for this activity. Make sure you are interacting with the game rather than the surrounding page.

A closer look at one example

A token two steps from home cannot use a three. Focus on why the action is allowed, not only its outcome. Consider the next action carefully.

Pay attention to this rule

Safe squares cannot capture; blockades are not part of this edition. Compare the situation with the worked example. Compare the worked example with your own position. Use the reasoning, not an answer copied from a different board.
